New Amendment

1. Gratuity payable under Gratuity Act, has been increased from 3.5 lakh to 10 lakh by recent ammendemnt to the Act.

2. Section 8 of the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act, 1956 has been amended so as
to a married woman can adopt a son or daughter

India, being a signatory to the Metre Convention ( Convention Du Metre ), is a member state of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) and International Bureau of Weight & Measures (BIPM), thus, India was under obligation to implement the suggestions on weights and measures and the changes suggested by General Conference of Weights & Measures (CGPM).
